Current assets are an important part of the operational activity of any business entity and are of key importance in maintaining the financial and economic security of the enterprise. Current assets of the enterprise have a significant impact on production activity, innovation, competitiveness, personnel, logistics, etc. They help to avoid interruptions in production and effectively commercialize innovative products on the market. It is impossible to form effective financial and economic policies and concepts of innovative development of the enterprise without taking into account current assets. Thus, there is a conceptual need to develop a methodology for forecasting the company’s current assets, which will ensure the support of financial and economic security and prevent bankruptcy. The information resource for our research was the reported data of JSC “Poltavaholod”, TM “Kozub Product”, LLC “Reshetylivskiy Maslozavod”, LLC “Lubensky Dairy Plant” (trademark “Harmony”) and LLC “Orzhitskyi Molokozavod” (trademark “Zarog”) for the period 2018–2022. In order to understand the theoretical essence of the financial stability of the enterprise, we deeply studied the information resource regarding the legislative regulation of the bankruptcy procedure. In order to reveal the topic of the article, we used a system of statistical and economic- mathematical methods. The results of the modeling of the forecasting of the current assets of enterprises proved that the largest projected increase in the value of current assets in 2024 was held by JSC “Poltavaholod” by 18.86%, followed by LLC “Lubensky Dairy Plant” by 14.95%, and the lowest growth of this indicator was recorded at LLC “Reshetylivskii Maslozavod” 0.11%. The analysis proved that “Reshetylivskii Maslozavod” LLC 0.11% is unable to maintain financial and economic security due to the weak level of efficiency of current assets. This company is the closest to bankruptcy among the other analyzed companies. The specified method of analysis and forecasting of the company’s current assets is of great importance for stimulating the financial and economic security of business entities. This technique will be useful for en-trepreneurs who are developing promising strategies for the development of the enterprise, aimed at future development, taking into account the policy of resource conservation, environmentalization and effective use of human resources.
