Open Data Policy
The journal Smart Economy, Entrepreneurship and Security supports the principles of open science and encourages authors to ensure open access to research data in accordance with the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and international standards of scholarly publishing.
General Provisions
The Editorial Board recommends that authors make the data underlying their research results available in order to enhance transparency, reproducibility, and the scientific value of publications. Where possible, data should be made openly accessible to the research community.
Data Deposition
Authors are encouraged to deposit research datasets in open access in institutional, national, or international data repositories. The number of deposited datasets should correspond to the scope and complexity of the research, and when multiple datasets are used, each should preferably be deposited separately.
Identification and Metadata
It is recommended that each dataset be assigned a persistent identifier (such as a DOI or another PID). Where available, these identifiers should be included in the article metadata and within the text of the publication, facilitating proper citation and integration into international information systems.
Data Availability Statement
The journal encourages authors to include a “Data Availability Statement” in their articles, indicating the number of datasets, their location, DOI or other persistent links, and the conditions of access to the data.
Exceptions
In cases where data cannot be made openly available due to ethical, legal, or confidentiality constraints, authors are encouraged to provide a clear explanation and, where possible, offer alternative means of verifying the research results.
Compliance with International Standards
This policy complies with the FAIR principles, international open science recommendations, and DOAJ requirements regarding transparency and accessibility of research data.
